I ordered the countertops from hd, ready-made from the fabricator, straight runs of counter only, and recommend this approach -if you only do counter tops every 20 years or so. Also it's easier to mark out on the top side. Avoids flipping over a counter after cutting a large sink hole in the middle. The blades may work in a standard jig saw but I did not try them. I used these with a Bosch jig saw to cut laminate counters after they were installed. They were the post form type, and it made the whole job much easier cutting out sink holes from the top (no chips at all). I used 3/4 plywood under the laminate counter, so the overall thickness where the holes were cut was 1 -1/2 inches.
THESE BLADES WORK FANTASTIC IN LAMINATED COUNTER TOPS FOR CUTTING SINK HOLES FROM THE TOP SIDE WITHOUT CHIPPING.
